JessesGadgets.com Announces Partnership with Burntees

On February 8, 2007 JessesGadgets.com announced an apparel affiliation with Burntees which is a CafePress t-shirt store. One of Burntees' founders is a childhood friend of ours so we decided to team up. Burntees sells funny t-shirts relating to a variety of designs including "Dirty Jersey", "Graphic Tees", "Custom Shirts" and more. Initially JessesGadgets.com will choose a "shirt of the week" to list for sale. All Burntees purchases will be processed through the Burtnees website for the time being. In the future we hope to allow JessesGadgets.com customers to order shirts directly from our site.

Coming Soon: Yankees Tickets

Yankees tickets went on sale to the general public today. While I can't hear the "bleacher creatures" doing the role call in the 1st inning, the standing ovations Derek Jeter gets every at bat, feel the sticky stadium floor under my feet and sing along to the beautiful sound of Sinatra's "New York, New York" playing after each game quite yet it still makes the cold miserable weather feel a little better knowing the season is just 2 short months away! This season we will be selling tickets with NO SHIPPING OR COMMISSION CHARGES. Be sure to check back shortly to view our selection.

If you have tickets and would like list them on JessesGadgets please contact us at jessesgadgets@gmail.com. We will not charge a listing fee and your tickets will be searchable on Froogle.

Check out my Rent Calculator Gadget

Do you have more than one roommate and more than one bill to split up? Check out the online version of my Rent Calculator gadget. When my two roommates and I moved into our apartment in Hoboken a little over a year ago we split up the rent, parking spot and bills. One roommate took the parking spot and the master bedroom so he has the highest base rent payment (static costs). He also took over the Utility bill (variable cost). Another roommate took the reins on the Cable/Internet/Phone bill (variable cost) etc... The first month it took the three of us very intelligent human beings wayyyyyyy too much time to figure out how to deduct the variable costs from each of our base rent payments so we could even things out with our monthly rent check. Ever since then I've been using a Rent Calculator program I made in MS Access to calculate our monthly rent payments. Recently I decided to make a web based version of the Rent Calculator for all to use. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Welcome to My World

Firstly, I'd like to welcome everybody to Jesse's Gadgets.com! This site is the brain child of Mike "Jesse can do more pull ups than me" Schwimmer.

A while ago it became quite apparent that I have definitely built up a very large accumulation of gadgets and gizmoes (I still haven't decided if they are one and the same). One look at my room and its obvious that its a large drain on our city's power grid and for that I'm sorry.

Mike came up with the idea to start selling some of the stuff (I won't call it crap because to me most of it isn't). I, of course, agreed. More so, I think that It would be great to sell a lot of small stuff in order to buy some big stuff (that Plasma isn't going to buy itself).

We've decided that it would be beneficial to come up with a rating system of sorts in order to help describe some of the items for sale. Some of the criteria we've come up with (but haven't limited grading to) are as follows:

1) Coolness factor - How cool is the gadget. For example in my opinion an Ipod is much cooler than a 1986 Sony Walkman, which brings me to category number 2.

2) Staying power - The Walkman was useful from its late 70's or early 80's inception but as soon as portable CD players became popular the Walkman was out. Now that digital music is huge CDs are virtually obsolete.

3)Condition - This one's easy. Is it new looking? Still in the box? Does it look like it was dropped from the top of a 50 story building into a vat of toxic waste?

I figure we start out with a system of 1-10. 1 being Craptastic and 10 being Freaking Awesome. We'll see how that goes.

I want to implore you all to browse the items on the site and buy anything you like. If you have any questions or comments, shoot us an email at jessesgadgets@gmail.com. Later for now.
